Requirements for employment:
- Practical environmental experience (tree planting, weed control, volunteering)
- Preparedness to adhere to all Green Skills policies and procedures (including WHS)
- Punctual and reliable

Desirable but not essential criteria:
- Currently studying or have finished TAFE or other Tertiary qualification in an environmental field
- Pesticide/ herbicide/ chainsaw use experience or qualification
- Team leading or supervisory experience
- First Aid Certificate

Visitors to Coogee Beach will notice Ecojobs staff working in the dunes – not trampling, but using a technique called “brushing”.
This rehabilitation method involves using tree and shrub branches to stabilise dunes. Native branches create a microclimate that protects and shades sand, increases water infiltration, reduces erosion and wind speed, deters traffic, and traps sand. The essential conditions for revegetation.
Ecojobs team members Perry, Mitch and Ben have been working with the City of Cockburn on this coastline protection initiative.
Wilson Wetlands Action Group (WWAG) has utilised the services offered by Green Skills Ecojobs Environmental Personnel for a number of years on our varied projects within Canning River Regional Park.
The office staff are helpful and efficient in dealing with bookings and staffing requests when we contact them. Field staff are punctual and arrive ready to start the tasks of the day. They are professional and understand the complexities of working within fragile conservation areas. Emerging Community Leadership Program’ for the Department of Regional Development,
Green Skills have brought significant experience in facilitating community engagement and supporting our leadership for sustainability initiatives. With their extensive network of regional contacts across southern WA, they helped us to recruit program participants, and to co-facilitate the program’s adult-learning workshops. Green Skills have provided services including manual and chemical weed control, Fire Access Way maintenance, pruning, watering, lake and bushland litter removal and cleanups. More recently they have provided temporary personnel under the WALGA preferred supplier contract. Their performance has always been to a high standard in a range of tasks.
