Green Skills with help from the Denmark Men’s Shed have  just completed an upgrade to the  Bird Hide (also called the Ornitarium) including replacing a section of the floor and putting up 3 replacement wall panels. The Bird Hide provides an attractive space for visitors to the Wetland Centre  to look for wetland birds. Various bird habitat islands have been created in view of the Bird hide, as well as a giant dragon fly sculpture.

The first public education event at the Wetlands Centre  will be a Wilson Inlet Catchment Committee Riparian Health Workshop  focusing on how landholders can look after waterways and restore native vegetation.

The workshop will start at the Wetland Centre, Atkinson Road  at 10am on Friday 9th February.  For further information contact Green Skills Denmark on 98483310.
