Waterbird Photos on Display at the Walpole CRC between May and August 2018

Waterbirds  Photographic Exhibition Opens In Walpole  To Promote Wetland Awareness and Conservation

This Green Skills exhibition displays 5 large panels featuring the species of ducks, geese and grebes that occur in the South West of WA. While some are familiar to everyone, others are rarely seen and are in crucial need of habitat protection and other conservation measures.

Fourteen of the waterbird species shown were taken by Dick Walker, and one by Tony Peterson. Both are keen south coast bird watchers  and photographers.

The exhibition forms part of the Green Skills’ Gondwana Wetlands Conservation program. This project is supported by funding from the Western Australian Government’s State Natural Resource Management Program, supported by Royalties for Regions as well as Lotterywest.
