Helen Heydenrych

Office Manager

MSc in Marine Biology, MPhil in Environmental Management

Helen has 20 years experience working in NRM for community organisations and government. She also has wide experience in scientific research, project development and on-ground project delivery.

Helen has been working part time managing the Denmark office since August 2015, participating in the WHS committee and undertaking project development. She is a member of the Green Skills Management Team. Helen is constantly inspired by her colleagues, working alongside them to ensure the success of Green Skills achievements in land care, river care, coast care, social care and waste minimisation effort.  With a deep love of wild and natural places, Helen is committed to  providing opportunities for people to make their own conscious choices to ensure the planet’s sustatinable future and possibilities for living productive lives within natural environments, in a less destructive way. Helen enjoys her professional roles of environmental project management and organisational management and brings a focus on collaborative work, networking and building community effort in progressive & environmentally sensitive, sustainable lifestyle choices.

Dr Louise Duxbury

Senior Project Manager

PhD Sustainability & Technology Policy, BA English & Psychology, Special Honours in Energy Policy 

Louise is the founder of Green Skills Inc., a journey she began in September 1989. Louise is a leading sustainability practitioner and facilitator with over thirty years experience in leadership development and implementation of sustainability and environmental initiatives that have contributed to major behavioural changes and regional outcomes. Louise has depth of practical and research experience in project development, facilitation, education, communications and managing behaviour change. She is a collaborative leader helping to develop teams and leadership within the not-for- profit sector, business sector and agencies to maximise positive impact. Louise is optimistic about our ability to create a sustainable future. Louise is all about walking the sustainable living talk. She lives with her partner on an intentional ecological community on the South Coast of Western Australia is an avid gardener. Louise is a Director for Gondwana Link Ltd, and Chair of the National Landcare Network Board.

Basil Schur

Senior Project Manager

MA (Murdoch), Grad Dip Education, Dip of Comm

Basil has been involved and working with Green Skills since the early 1990’s. He develops, implements and oversees a wide range of projects linked to community development and ecological restoration.

Nicole Robinson

Finance Manager

BCom CGMA

Nicole joined the Green Skills team as Finance Manager in August 2018. She brings with her 25 years experience working in accounting and finance across diverse industries and various countries. Her organisation-wide role of managing the Green Skills finances is delivered from the Denmark office. Nicole’s love of the wild rugged coasts and nature,  and a yearning for a slower, mindful, and healthy lifestyle led her to relocate to Denmark to raise her family.  She loves supporting her colleagues in their creative endeavours to lead the way in environmental care, sustainability, community development and education.

Jasmyn Kirkman

Payroll Officer

Jasmyn has worked for many years with Green Skills Albany Ecojobs in an office support and hands on capacity. She is passionate about caring for the local environment and loves to get her hands dirty. More recently she expanded her responsibilities with Green Skills and is also the Payroll Officer. Jasmyn shares her working time between the Green Skills Denmark and Albany offices.  Her role of payroll officer is mostly undertaken from the Denmark office.

Anita Cottle

Denmark Tip Shop Manager

Anita has been working with Green Skills Tip Shop for many years, and is a great people’s person, with a love of the outdoors work environment and helping community do their bit for waste reduction.  The Denmark Tip Shop benefits from her excellent communication and co-ordination skills, continuing to offer an incredible site for waste reduction, finding a treasure to repurpose, or just somewhere to have a fossick.

Angela Young

Tip Shop Officer 

Angie joined our Tip Shop permanent staff in June 2020 after being a volunteer and a casual for since 2018.  Angie brings her passion and drive to the Tip Shop team, now with employment security as a permanent. Angie is highly driven and passionate and hopes she will be able to continue as one of the Denmark Green Skills team for some years to come.

Noelene Berndt

Tip Shop Officer 

Noelene has lived in Denmark for 12 years and joined the Denmark Tip Shop crew as a permanent staff in December 2020 after doing volunteering and casual shifts at the Tip Shop. Noelene has been an antique collector for 30yrs and she is now also following her artistic path. Noelene’s previous work experience included working with youth with acquired brain injuries in high care, but she has decided to make a move to slow down a bit! The Denmark Tip shop is her main drive now and a great inspiration for all aspects of recycling and junk art. She loves working there and enjoys interacting with customers.

Warren Barrington

Tip Shop Officer 

Warren has been working at the Denmark Tip Shop for many years, first as a volunteer, then a casual and in October 2021 joined the Green Skills Tip Shop team as a permanent staff member.

Michael Phipps

Tip Shop Officer 

Michael is passionate about organic gardening and loves the outdoors and playing sports.  He thinks the tip shop is an amazing place to work with great people.  He feels good to be part of efforts to keep so much waste out of landfill.  Michael was raised on a farm so knew from a young age the value of reusing and recycling everything.  He has lived in the region for 30 years and has worked in horticulture and agriculture since his teens so knows the local community well. He loves interacting with the passionate customers at the Tip Shop.

Rhian Thomas

Denmark Project Manager

Rhian is a Landscape Architect and has managed public landscape projects in Perth and Northern NSW over the past 10yrs for private clients, local government and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Since coming onboard Green Skills in 2022, following involvement as a volunteer in the Knowing Nullaki Festival, Rhian has been developing and implementing a variety of Renewable Energy and Waste Education projects, and facilitating workshops and events. Rhian brings to the team a joy and passion for environmental education and working collectively to build resilient and sustainable communities. In her spare time Rhian is a choral director and is part of the management team of Activate Tree Planting – Great Southern, an annual community planting event involving farm scale restoration, good food and music.   

 

James Gentle

Project Manager Denmark Tip Shop Manager

James is committed to the reduction of landfill and the reuse, recycling or upcycling of everyday items. James, a lateral thinker, actively promotes the Tip Shop philosophy through creative arts projects and collaborative ventures with community and school groups in the area.

Jasmyn Kirkman
